WHY JOIN PTSA?

Middle school students are growing up!  How do you build their independence and ensure good choices at the same time?  Stay connected to them by getting to know the staff, students, and parents that your child will be working with each day.

Join PTSA and volunteer your time in a variety of different ways.  Be a "Parent on Campus" or a library volunteer.  Support your student's academic growth through financial donations that will provide quality instructional programs and after school activities.

It is our privelege to be your partner in education!

PTSA partners with AOMS to bring extraordinary additions to the educational environment!

In the 2008-09 school year, PTSA has provided a variety of equipment through our ‘Cash for your Classroom’ program. The mission of the Teacher Grant Committee (aka: Cash for your Classroom program) is to understand where the needs exist in AOMS and provide resources to meet those needs, within the budget constraints of the fund.  The ultimate goal is to enrich AOMS students’ educational experience.

This year, in addition to aiding teachers in supplies for their classroom, PTSA has purchased the following items:

Laptop for Library

Shade for PE

Elmo Document Camera

Art for Severely handicap classroom

Fun Orchestra Music, Bows, and Cases

Jarvis Bass Drum Stand

Videos, Video Player, Storage, and Laser Printers

Camcorder, Tripod, 2 microphones

The eyes of Nye DVD Series

DNA Extraction from Wheat Germ lab experiment

Writers Workshop supplies

Instructional Books and Core Literature
