District Nutrition Services




In accordance with state law EVERY student entering 7th grade must provide proof of a Tdap immunization.  Verification of this required immunization must be received prior to your student registering for 7th grade in late August.  You may submit this verification at anytime prior to registration.  If your child has already received the immunization, please provide proof to the health office or you may attach a copy to the course selection paperwork.  Please call the Health office at 760-331-6190 if you have questions or need to confirm if you previously submitted proof of the immunization. If your child is missing additional required  immunizations you will be contacted individually.

Schedule Changes


Due to the complex nature of the scheduling process special requests cannot be granted. Please see below for valid/invalid schedule change requests. Thank you for your understanding.

Examples of Valid Schedule Change Requests:

  • Missing a period

  • Scheduled for a duplicate class

  • Scheduled for the wrong grade level

Examples of Invalid Schedule Change Requests:

  • Changing a teacher

  • Changing an elective

  • Changing lunches

  • Changing to be with friends

  • Changing to have a class during a different time of day


Drop Dates and Procedure for advanced English and Accelerated Math Course


Students have the opportunity to drop advanced English or accelerated Math courses. If dropped, students will be transferred into their grade level common core class.


If this change is needed, please email the appropriate school counselor before the deadlines below. Requests that are made after the deadlines will not be granted. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your student in a class, please contact the teacher. 



Drop Deadline Dates:

1st semester drop date: September 15, 2017

2nd semester drop date: February 7, 2018

Math Tutoring begins this Monday and Tuesday, from 2:10-3:10 in room 1605. It is on a walk in basis. No need to sign up and it’s free.


Middle School Speech and Debate Workshop

Do you want to learn to win arguments, present your ideas effectively, enhance your acting skills, and feel confident when the teacher calls on you to read in class? Come to the Middle School Speech and Debate Workshop taught by the award winning Carlsbad High School Speech and Debate Team, ranked in the top 1% in the nation!

Dates:    6 Mondays, October 9 - November 13

Time:      2:45 pm. - 4:00 pm.

Cost:       $ 50.00, but the skills taught truly are priceless!

Hello AOM students, we are looking for surfers for our AOM surf team. All 6-8 graders are welcome to join the AOM surf team and be a part of the fun!!  We invite all student surfers to join in this years school season. Calling all AOMS writers, artists, musicians, dancers and photographers for the 2017 PTA Reflections Arts Program themed "Within Reach." Explore and express this theme with an original work of art in any of six categories: literature, visual arts, music composition, dance choreography, photography and film production. Click here to download and print the application form. You can submit as many entries as you like, but each entry requires its own signed application form. The artist statement can be handwritten for the entry form, but needs also to be typed and sent to aomsreflections@gmail.com. Deadline for submissions is 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 at the AOMS front office. All entries will be showcased at a gallery reception on Oct. 19.
